In Luke 1:37, the angel of the Lord tells Mary, "For nothing is impossible with God." Mary responds,"
38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said."
As we enter this last week of Advent, may we be reminded of these words from God's messenger, "For nothing is impossible with God" and may we take time to reflect on just what this means for each us.
Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton does just this and shares this Advent message with our church this week.
"Bishop Eaton's 2017 Christmas message - Just this. Just now."
May we each be reminded from our presiding bishop this Advent not to lose sight of the present given to all of us by our great and amazing God and may all of us be open right now to experience the hope, the peace, the joy, the love that breaks into our world through God's gift to us all - a baby, a child who gives us his all. So let these four small words, "Just this, just now," focus us on God's presence in our lives right here and right now so we may experience and grow in our own understanding of this great present from God that is here and is with us always.
Please join us at worship this Sunday in the morning for our regular worship times of 8:15, 9:30 or 11:11am to celebrate Advent 4 and then for Christmas Eve Worship at 5:00, 7:30, or 10:00pm to thank God for this life changing, earth shattering, amazingly awesome gift of Jesus to us all.
We look forward to worshiping with each of you!
In Christ's love and service,
Pastor Wendy and Pastor Craig
