Music at All Shepherds

Shepherds Choir

The Shepherds Choir provides musical offerings for the 8:15 AM and 9:30 AM worship services, September through June. This group consists of dedicated members of our congregation who love to worship through singing. The Shepherds Choir meets weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The ensemble sings a mix of choral repertoire from traditional anthems, Renaissance polyphony, to modern gospel and jazz. Each year, the Choir plays a key role in a Christmas cantata along with our Bell Choir, InSpirited Praise Band, Children's Choir, and special musicians.

Peals of Praise, Bell Choir

The Peals of Praise Bell Choir provides musical offerings for the 8:15 AM and 9:30 AM worship services, September through May. This group consists of dedicated members of our congregation who read music independently and enjoy the challenge of ringing in a bell choir. The Peals of Praise meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The Bell Choir has played an integral part in worship services at All Shepherds for several decades now. Additionally, the ensemble takes part in the Delaware Area Handbell Festival each year where they work with a clinician, ring with members of other congregations, and fill the sanctuary of Gray Chapel at Ohio Wesleyan University with resounding praise. 

All who are interested in ringing with the Bell Choir are welcome. Some experience in reading music is preferred, but prior ringing experience is not necessary. InSpirited, Praise Band

InSpirited Praise Band provides the worship music for the 11:11 AM, contemporary worship service each week. This group consists of volunteers who have a passion for contemporary worship music. The Band is always seeking out new musicians to join the team. Anyone interested in leading vocals or who has experience reading lead sheets and playing acoustic/electric guitar, bass, keyboard/synthesizer, or drums should contact John Basel (johnbaselpianist@gmail.com).

 
 

Children's Choir

The All Shepherds Children's Choir provides musical offerings throughout the year sporadically, singing for the 9:30 AM and 11:11 AM worship services, September through May. The Children's Choir meets during Sunday School and no additional rehearsals are necessary.
