JOB POSTING: Part-time TECH COORDINATOR

The Tech Coordinator will ensure the smooth operation and oversight of the church’s audio-visual (A/V) and streaming needs. This is a part-time position requiring 5 hours per week.

Job Description:

The Tech Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be:

  • Managing, maintaining and updating the sound board equipment

  • Ensure high-quality sound and streaming on Sunday mornings across all three service times (8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:11am) and special occasions such as Lenten events and funerals.

  • Coordinate, recruit and train volunteers for A/V support, including slide operation and sound booth assistance.

  • Provide equipment maintenance along with regular software and firmware updates.

  • Recommend hardware maintenance and upgrades to the church council and serve as consultant for any purchases.

  • Support Friday evening rehearsals to prepare for Sunday services and special events, outside of the church.

  • Create a sustainable structure for A/V staffing that balances compensated roles with volunteer participation.

Position Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Provide approximately one hour each Friday night to support rehearsals.

  • Allocate one hour weekly to find and schedule Sunday volunteers for slide operation and sound support.

  • Responsible for the operation of A/V services on Sunday mornings.

  • Establish a volunteer coordination system to ensure coverage for the various service times.

Pay: $20/ hour, 5 hours per week.

Job Posting: youth director (Grades 9-12)

The Youth Director will work collaboratively with the learning team and families of All Shepherds to foster faith growth and development in our church. 

Job Description:

The youth director’s primary responsibility will be:

  • Oversee Bible studies and faith conversations on Sundays for youth specifically in grades 9 - 12. 

  • Be a faith support and mentor for our high school students and a spiritual resource for parents and members of our congregation.

  • Communicate and promote faith activities and opportunities for our youth, pray intentionally for our youth and families and serve as a leader on our youth leadership team. 

  • This part-time (10 hours per week) position includes attending monthly Learning Team meetings and occasional daytime or evening activities that support, grow and strengthen faith community in our youth and families.

Position Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older.

  • Knowledge of the Bible and Lutheran Christian theology

  • Experience and passion for working with youth and families

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to convey foundational Christian concepts at age-appropriate levels

  • Creativity in planning and implementing faith building lessons and activities

  • Ability and comfort in sharing faith, questions, and insights

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with staff and volunteers

  • Attend ASLC on Sunday mornings from 9am-1pm.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new skills

  • Ability to build relationships with church members, guests, and colleagues from multiple generations and backgrounds

  • Participation in staff meetings as requested by Pastors and Learning Ministry Director

  • Education or work with teens experience preferred

  • Safe Sanctuary training and background check required

Pay: The rate of pay for this part-time position is $20 per hour.
