Invitation to Shepherds Choir

My name is Josh Dufford and I am the new Director of Music and Choir Director here at the ASLC. I currently teach music at Central College Presbyterian Church where I lead the choirs, assist with strings and band, and serve as the musical director for the theatre productions. In addition, I serve as a staff member for the Cardinal Chorale, a touring summer choir that meets periodically throughout the year and is comprised of high school and college-aged students.

The choir here at ASLC is thriving due to the abundance of time and talents that its members so freely give. However, in order to continue providing such meaningful music for our worship services, we are ALWAYS looking for new singers to come join us. In particular, there is a desire to include more of our high school-aged students who enjoy singing in the Shepherd's Choir! There is absolutely no expectation for music-reading ability and regardless of your musical background, we have a place for you! I am confident that no matter your experience, you will learn how to better use your voice, how to read music, and that you will enjoy glorifying God through music.

Whether you're a high school student, college student, or simply a young "student" at heart, please consider singing with us- for it is by faith that we step into these positions that we are able to touch the hearts of all who come to our services. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm and usually conclude between 8:15 and 8:30 pm.
