How Tithe.ly Works
Tithe.ly is a service that allows you to give your offerings to All Shepherds in an easy manner which you control. Members can set up their giving for a specific dollar amount on a one time or a recurring basis using a smartphone or a computer.
For example, you may use your smartphone to set up Tithe.ly to give $20 to the church on a weekly basis. Your total offering for the year would be $20 x 52 weeks or $1,040 less the Tithe.ly fees (more on that in a minute). Tithe.ly allows you to use a checking account (ACH), a debit or credit card or Google Pay. Once an account is set up, you will not need to use a check or cash for your offerings.
To start, use the Apple App Store or Google Play and search for the ELCA Giving App on your smartphone. It takes about 30 seconds to download the app. You can also use your computer to set up a Tithe.ly account by visiting www.allshepherds.org/electronic-giving and by clicking the green “GIVE” button. Tithe.ly allows you to donate money to Annual Ministries Support or to an existing All Shepherds Designated Fund including facilities, youth ministry, disaster relief and more.
Tithe.ly charges administration fees just as credit card companies do. The fee is reasonable in that it allows All Shepherds to receive consistent giving and for you to have an easy and manageable method for your gifts. Using the ELCA Giving App or the All Shepherds web link provides our members with discounted Tithe.ly fees negotiated by the ELCA.
The following is an example of how Tithe.ly works:
A member of All Shepherds wants to give $100 a month to the church. The member would set this up using their smartphone or computer to be a reoccurring donation of $100 on a monthly basis. The Tithe.ly fee varies based on whether a credit/debit card or a checking account (ACH) is used.

Our example shows the two ways the fees are paid, by All Shepherds or by the member. If the member pays the fees, they would enter the $100.00 donation and Tithe.ly would compute the fees. When you receive your annual Contribution Statement all forms of donations will be listed and Tithe.ly donations will identified separately.
